Basic technical information generated when using the website
When you submit the seven-stage lease application, we store a limited application summary and any documents you choose to upload so we can assess the application, create your reference, manage document checks and maintain your progress history. Uploaded files are stored in private document storage linked to the application and can be opened only through an authorised staff account.
The public tracking page displays only essential profile information with masked contact details. It does not display affordability, address history, licence, National Insurance, bank-statement or identity-document details.
When you submit an enquiry, we store the details and create an enquiry reference. Where you agree, the website may send a confirmation and essential service updates by email and WhatsApp. We record your communication consent and the delivery outcome. Any optional WhatsApp link opens a general conversation only; it does not place application or enquiry details into the link.
When you submit a vehicle-sourcing request, we store the supplied advert link, the vehicle and seller information you enter, your finance preferences and any permitted files you choose to upload. Uploaded sourcing files are held in private storage linked to the enquiry reference and are available only to authorised staff.
3. How we use personal information
To respond to enquiries and provide customer support
To send confirmations and essential application or enquiry updates by email and WhatsApp where you have agreed
To assess and administer lease or finance applications
To check identity, licence information and affordability
To source vehicles and arrange collection or delivery
To manage agreements, payments, renewals and returns
To prevent fraud and protect our business and customers
To measure website activity and which adverts lead to enquiries, subject to your cookie choice
To meet legal, regulatory, accounting and insurance duties
To manage complaints and exercise or defend legal rights
4. Our lawful bases
Depending on the purpose, we process information because it is necessary to take steps at your request or perform a contract, because we have a legitimate business interest, because we must comply with a legal obligation, or because you have given consent. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can opt out of WhatsApp service messages by replying STOP, or contact us using the details above.
5. Who we may share information with
Where relevant to the service requested, information may be shared with vehicle suppliers, leasing companies, finance lenders, payment providers, delivery partners, insurers, identity and fraud prevention providers, professional advisers, IT providers and public authorities. We share only what is reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.
Finance applications are separate from no-credit-check leasing and may involve lender credit and affordability checks.
Where messaging is enabled, we use Resend to deliver service emails and the Meta WhatsApp Business Platform to deliver WhatsApp service messages. We share only the contact and message information needed to deliver those communications.
We use the Google Ads tag with Consent Mode to measure website visits, contact-button activity and completed enquiries or applications. Advertising and analytics storage starts as denied and is enabled only if you accept optional tracking. We do not send application answers, uploaded documents or direct contact details to Google through this tag.
When the Sell Your Car registration lookup is used, the registration number is sent securely to UK Vehicle Data, MarketCheck UK, or to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) MOT History API when that service is available. This lets us return available basic specification or MOT facts. The lookup does not provide a live market valuation or registered-keeper details.
When the vehicle-sourcing importer is used, the customer-supplied advert link may be sent securely to MarketCheck UK or, for an eBay advert, to the eBay Browse API so permitted factual vehicle, pricing, mileage and dealer information can be returned. A supplied registration may also be checked through MarketCheck UK or the DVSA MOT History API to fill available basic vehicle details. We do not scrape the customer-supplied webpage or copy advert photographs, seller contact details or full descriptions. Every imported value remains editable and must be confirmed before submission.
The live UK marketplace within the Car Finance page requests customer-directed search results from MarketCheck UK and receives permitted factual listing, dealer and image-link information. Future Lease 4 U does not copy the UK market into its own stock database or permanently store dealer photographs. Dealer-hosted photographs may load directly from the image host with the browser referrer withheld. Only a vehicle the customer chooses and submits becomes part of a sourcing enquiry and secure customer record.
6. Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as required for the service, our legal and accounting obligations, dispute handling and fraud prevention. We use proportionate organisational and technical measures to protect information, but no internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Application documents are stored separately from the public website content. Access is restricted to approved Future Lease 4 U administrators, and document responses are not publicly cached.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to processing, request portability and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Our service providers, including Resend and Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform where enabled, process limited information to deliver services on our behalf. Google processes consent-aware website measurement data for Google Ads. The Sell Your Car lookup may use UK Vehicle Data, MarketCheck UK or the official DVSA MOT History API. Links to GOV.UK, WhatsApp, Trustpilot, Auto Trader, social media and other third-party websites are governed by those providers' own privacy and cookie policies. We encourage you to review them before providing personal information.
The live homepage Google review rating and count are requested server-side from Google Maps Platform. That request identifies only our public business profile; we do not send visitor contact details, application answers or uploaded documents. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
