HP

Hire Purchase

Pay a deposit followed by fixed monthly repayments. Once all payments and any option-to-purchase fee are complete, you own the vehicle.

PCP

Personal Contract Purchase

Monthly repayments are usually lower because part of the value is deferred to an optional final payment.

Lender decision

Approval, APR and deposit are set by the lender after its checks.
